The department offers a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Students can major in General Political Science or can concentrate in International Affairs, Pre-Law or Philosophy, Politics and Economics (PPE).
If you are thinking of going to law school, check out our extensive Pre-Law offerings here and Pre-Law website that offers a wide range of valuable resources for Georgia State students from all departments.
In addition to the traditional classroom setting, you can learn through hands on experience and gain academic credit along the way. Explore our study abroad and exchange programs, Model and Mock Trial Teams, internship opportunities and Co-op Program.
Get involved in a student organization – our students engage with one another and their professors through the Politics Club, the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society and the Pre-Law Club
Be interdisciplinary. Our department is closely involved with centers and institutes around the campus. Our faculty work with the Global Studies Institute, the Center for Human Rights and Democracy, the Center for Middle East Studies, the Center for Latino and Latin American Studies, the Transcultural Conflict and Violence research initiative, the Chinese Studies research initiative and the Zoukis Research Collaborative.
