Research Interests
Politics of Banking and Finance, Instructional PedagogyLaura Hastings joined Georgia State University in fall 2017 after teaching and holding administrative positions at Western Michigan University, University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign, Carnegie Mellon University, and the University of Pittsburgh. She has developed and run interdisciplinary programs in Global Studies, International Relations and European Union Studies, and her current research interests lie in curricular and pedagogical movements in interdisciplinary studies. Her teaching interests span topics in comparative political economy, including banking and finance, regional integration, and transnational corporations. She enjoys leading service-learning study abroad programs to Peru, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic and Ireland.
