- Mentorship and professional socialization. Our faculty members are active scholars and researchers who frequently coauthor with students on papers and participate in numerous events and colloquia.

Ph.D. Degrees
Our nationally-ranked Ph.D. program accepts applicants with either bachelor’s or master’s degrees. Students can concentrate their studies on the major subfields in the disciplines of: American Politics, Comparative Politics, International Politics, Political Theory, Public Law and Research Methods.
M.A. Degrees
A terminal M.A. degree with a concentration in all major subfields also is offered. Our M.A. program includes many flexible courses after hours and online designed for working professionals.
Students can also take advantage of the many opportunities offered in Atlanta by completing an Experiential Learning Project. Recent project placements have been with the Georgia Legislature, Keep Georgia Beautiful Foundation, the Secret Service and the World Affairs Council.
Finally we offer a fully online M.A. degree for Social Studies K-12 educators.
