In a resounding display of enthusiasm for the legal field, the Political Science department at Georgia State organized the highly anticipated "Careers in Law" event on October 4th. The gathering attracted an overwhelming turnout of students eager to explore pathways into the world of law.
The event, held in 1076 Langdale, surpassed all expectations as the room was filled to capacity with students from various academic backgrounds who had the unique opportunity to engage with the speakers through panel discussions, Q&A sessions, and networking opportunities.
The discussion panel featured:
- Ryan Buchanan, United States Attorney, Northern District of Georgia
- Mina N. Riley-Johnson, Special Agent/Lead Recruiter, U.S. Department of Homeland Security
- Kenneth W. Sheppard, P.C., Trial Lawyer
- Michael Yontz, PhD/JD, Lecturer, Political Science, and Pre-Law Faculty Assoc., CASA
Dr. Chris Brown, Principal Senior Lecturer of Political Science, and Dr. Stephanie Kerce, Senior Lecturer of Political Science served as discussion moderators.
Many thanks to the Law School and the Center for the Center for the Advancement of Students and Alumni for co-sponsoring the event.
