Özlem Tunçel, Ph.D. student of Political Science, was awarded the department’s Best Graduate Paper Award for 2020-2021. Entitled “Electoral Performance of Post-Rebel Political Parties,” the paper discusses the question of why do some post-rebel political parties perform better than others and argues that party-specific or country-specific characteristics might affect the parties' performance and participation.
Tunçel holds a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from Bogazici University, Turkey.
