Goldberg on NPR Discussing Changes Among White Liberal Voters

Zach Goldberg, a doctoral student of political science at Georgia State University, had his work featured on NPR discussing the changes among white liberals towards race.

In an article entitled “How White Liberals Became Woke, Radically Changing Their Outlook On Race,” NPR’s political correspondent Asma Khalid discussed different indicators that show a more left-leaning white democratic electorate. Goldberg’s research was featured to show the clear statistical difference in opinion among the white liberals of the 1970s, the 1980s and the 1990 compared to those of 2014 and 2016. “[White liberals’] exposure to injustice inequality has been heightened because of the internet,” said Goldberg. “The moral buttons of white liberals are being more frequently pressed.”
