2015 Summer Institute: “Crime, Punishment, & Policing in the South”

justitia-421805The Zoukis Research Collaborative on the Politics of Mandatory Sentencing at Georgia State University will hold a special summer course on crime, punishment and policing in the Southeastern United States on June 2-4, 9am-4pm. This three day institute will feature panels of local experts, including judges, lawyers, politicians, law enforcement officers and journalists, as well as research experience with academics from the political science department. Each morning, students will attend a panel of local experts. Following lunch, students will work on collaborative research
projects in GSU’s new multi-media laboratory-CURVE. Students will leave the institute with a deeper understanding of the normative and academic questions surrounding crime, punishment and policing in the South.
